Capital Vows: A Washingtonian Wedding
Posted on
Some weddings draw you in before they even start. This one began with the quiet hum of the city in the distance, fresh air drifting through the trees, and that unspoken buzz of excitement that comes right before the ceremony.

At the center of it all was the DC War Memorial, with its tall marble columns standing guard as the couple met under the open sky. Guests settled in, the leaves swaying overhead, waiting for the moment they would say “I do.”

Their vows were soft, but you could feel every word. Smiles and cheers moved through the crowd, carried along by the stillness of the space.

Then the quiet shifted into celebration. A lively marching band took the lead, turning the walk from ceremony to reception into a mini parade. Laughter, clapping, and music followed them all the way.

Hosting a wedding at a national landmark takes planning. Permits, setup schedules, and making sure every detail works with the setting. The IMPACT Collective team handled the behind-the-scenes so the couple could focus on their day without distractions.
Some weddings you watch. Others you’re part of. This one felt like both.
