Sean Mahon is a seasoned pianist and composer based in Northern Virginia. He has decades of experience playing several styles, including classical, jazz, tango, rock, and contemporary music. He received his Bachelor of Music Degree in Piano Performance from the University of Maryland, where he studied with Dr. Cleveland Page, Santiago Rodriguez, and Andre Watts. During his time there, he won the Homer Ulrich Piano Competition, was a finalist for the UMSO Concerto Competition, and recipient of the Music Director’s Merit Scholarship Award. For the past 5 years he has been the principal pianist for The Pan American Symphony Orchestra, with performances in such venues as the Kennedy Center, Wolftrap, and the Argentinian Embassy. He continues to perform around the country both as a solo and ensemble artist in various orchestral, jazz, and rock ensembles. While still playing solo gigs, Sean also performs vocals and guitar in a brand new wedding & corporate party band called We The People!
